My only real complaint is the 3rd person camera view, which is pretty bad, and the motion quality of humans and creatures which comes off very stiff and unnatural to my eye.Highly anticipated: While not an indication of quality, we've come to expect big RPGs to feature plenty of dialog. Lots of hard work by the devs putting this adventure together that is evident. It is fun, finding loot, awesome weapons, all kinds of enchantments, potions to buff up with. It is perfect for chilling out with after a long day and you want to be entertained without putting forth some huge struggle just to get through it. It is not an especially difficult or challenging game. And it is beautiful to look at, lots to admire as you travel through the world. There are tons of distractions, optional things to see, surprises to be had, nooks, crannies, and areas to discover all over Skyrim. You can travel overland or you can fast travel. Once you are done it is time to get back for your reward. You never know what you will find in a dungeon, or how big it will be. Huge places, high ceilings, corridors, mazes, traps, puzzles, cliffs, waterfalls. Some of these places can be pretty imaginative. Some huge underground cavern, or mine or ancient underground city.
Generally the place you need to find is a dungeon. That quest usually will send you far away, to find somebody, or kill somebody or to retrive something, or join something. They will have a conversation explaining who they are, answer some of your questions, then they get down to the meat and potatoes of what they want from you. Sometimes they approach you, but generally you approach them. The gameplay loop is not especially deep. I am level 13, so I have not seen it all, but I have seen enough to get a good handle on the gameplay. Then when things get up close and personal I switch over to a 2 handed enchanted weapon and wail away!
I play a Nord archer, sneaking around picking people off while I am hidden. So for an old game it looks pretty good on my Sony 49 inch HDR 4K TV.
